The manufacturing procedure of the actuators follows the following rules; use of monolithic parts, corrosion-resistant materials, stress-free components and stable alloys. The selection of the machining process, the intermediate stress-relieving and the phase stabilisation of the alloys during thermal treatment are important to assess shape stability under hard and diverse operating conditions for prolonged periods of time. Close geometrical inspection follows every piece ensuring interchangeability and fitting of spare-parts, while monitoring the shape stability at the same time (i.e. signs of warping, plastic deformation etc.). Assembly surfaces are clearly marked in order to provide multiple attachment points allowing greater versatility, while avoiding improper use and/or mounting.
