In Morfi Ltd the geometrical inspection procedure performing in our TESA CMM Machine or using manual measuring tools, is being designed prior to manufacturing, so that manufacturing can aim to fulfill the tolerances specified by  the drawings. This means that intermediate inspections of the piece on the clamped position on the machine (REF παραγραφο FARO ARM), are being made and are cross-referenced with the geometrical inspection of the ready parts in the non-clamped situation. Direct measurements of dimensions and geometrical tolerances are recorded in the inspection sheets, whereas the indirect measurements are being processed using stochastic models in order to ensure good repeatability and accuracy. In this way, complex shapes can be measured and demanding/combined tolerances can be assessed. Also the tools at hand in Morfi Ltd may be used to reconstruct 3D models of the actual items, using reverse engineering. As an example, a laser scanning head can be attached on the FARO ARM, so that it can reconstruct shapes using the GEOMAGIC software.
